Let's get practical

All I ever really want to wear are really high, crazy heels.  Didya see those Jeffrey Campbell Litas in my pervious post? Case in point.  But let's be real here, I work in retail. Stomping around in platforms for 9 hours a day isn't the smartest idea in the world, so I do need some practical shoes every now and then.  I typically wear boots to work 90% of the time, but the recent warm weather here in Seattle has me considering purchasing some cute flats.  Here are a few pairs I've been lusting over...

Jolly Green Giant

These things came in the mail to brighten my day today.

I can tell you right now that this week is gonna be a rough one.  I gotta de-stress, so please excuse me while I put on my 5 inch Green Velvet Litas and dance around my apartment to my new Zola Jesus records.

I kind of feel like the Jolly Green Giant or a sexy leprechaun in my new shoes...in the best way possible.

Prada 2011 Shoes

Hey, ya know those crazy Prada wedges that everyone has been talking about? AKA these:

As ugly as I feel like I should think they are, I'm totally digging them. Something about the combination of the espadrille and sneaker heel, it seems so wrong that it's right. Is the $700 price tag too steep for you? Well, you're in luck. Top Shop already has an almost dead-ringer for a mere 130 bones. The Prada's even come in this green/orange color-way, but I can't seem to find a decent-sized photo of them to save my life.

AAAANDDDD....they now come in orange and blue as well. Thanks, Top Shop.

Love 'em? Hate 'em? Lemme hear it.

Aldo x Julian Louie

Killin' it.

from aldoshoes.com:

"At international fashion weeks, ALDO helps rising designers hit their strides - literally, by creating shoes worthy of their brilliant visions. Our SS11 collab with New York name-to-know, Julian Louie, was a sensation. It sent editors, bloggers and customers into a tweeting/posting frenzy with love.

So, by overwhelmingly popular demand, styles from the ALDO for Julian Louie runway collection, the very shoes that walked the Fashion Week runway in New York, have arrived at ALDO! "
