Darker My Love: Hopeless Lingerie launches on Craft and Culture
Don't you love it when two things that you are independently obsessed with come together to make something even more amazing?! This is one of those times.
I have been obsessed with Australian lingerie brand Hopeless via Etsy for a while now. It's a little bit racy, a little bit S & M, and a whole lot of awesome. I love her use of fabrics, interesting strap placements and cutouts. I actually just placed an order with her a few weeks ago! I have been anxiously checking my mailbox for it's arrival ever since! Each piece is hand made to order, so I completely understand the wait period. And its coming from Australia to boot!
Craft an Culture is an amazingly well curated online store based in Seattle, which just happens to be where I reside as well! They feature fantastic hand made goods and independent designers on their site. I pretty much want everything on there.
These two masterminds joining forces is pretty much BLOWING MY MIND. Check out the some of these lookbook photos that Craft and Culture took:

Sample Sale! Support local fashion!
Hey guys! If you are in the Seattle area this weekend, you should check out the sample sale that we are having! It will be 50-80% off retail (some sales samples and items with minor flaws, but BARELY noticeable) and 20% of the proceeds to a non profit organization called BABES network, who provide peer counseling and support for women with HIV/AIDS.
So come out. Get some Holiday shopping done. Support local fashion. And support a good cause!
Hope to see you all there!

Dress Recon: Sexy Secretary
My friend and co-worker, Carmel, found this amazing vintage dress at Value Village and asked me to 'sass it up' a bit by adding a lace deep-v inset.
The original dress:
I just used my clear ruler to trace where I wanted the inset to be and cut it out.
I used the pieces of the original dress that I cut out to use as a pattern for the lace.
I added a half-inch all around the pattern piece for a seam allowance.
And I repeated the same thing on the back inset.
Added a half-inch again for a seam allowance. I sewed the inset in with a quarter-inch seam allowance....if you aren't sure why I added a half-inch, it can be kind of confusing to explain, e-mail me if you have questions!
I sewed the shoulder seams together and since I used delicate lace, I finished neckline of the lace with black bias tape.
I then sewed the inset in and finished the seams with my surger.
Ta da!
Pretty sassy, if I do say so myself. And it only took me a little over an hour! I can't wait to see Carmel rock it!

This happened on Monday...
Got the line work done on my full sleeve yesterday! It's a bluespotted ribbontail ray surrounded by waves and coral. My seahorse on my forearm was lonely and needed a friend. A puffer fish will also being joining the gang in the months to come! So excited!
Big thanks to the talented Jerad Shealey! He is opening his private tattoo studio in Ballard starting July 1st! Check out his site, Rabid Hands, you wont be disappointed.

Cabbage Rose
Today I couldn't wait to get home from work and play around with putting outfits together with my new shoes and take some photos. Don't you just love when you purchase something and it magically works with pretty much everything you already own? That's how I feel about these beauts.
It is also sunny and in the mid-60s today, which for us Seattle-ites is pretty much a heat wave. I saw lots of tank tops, shorts, and sandals walking down the street today. This is exciting for me because I can finally bust out my shorts and spring dresses (without tights!). I HATE pants and my legs are happy to be free once again!
I am not a photographer. I don't typically take photos of myself. And I didn't have the luxury of having a photographer take my picture like in some of my previous posts. But what the hell, I know how to use my 10-second timer setting on my camera...how hard can it be? I thought that the little side area of my apartment would be the perfect place to set up my camera, but it seems to be too narrow to really get a full shot of my outfit...hence the awkward poses. I also didn't notice that graffiti tag behind me, whoops! I guess it adds to the photos? Sure.
Don't focus on me. Just focus on those B.A. shoes.
Romper / thrifted
Shoes / Jeffrey Campbell
Sunglasses / Ray Bans
Necklace / Leviticus Jewelry
Rings / the usuals
Oh, and a HUGE thanks to Jeffrey Campbell (@JCShoes) for retweeting my link to yesterday's post! Love you! Follow me on twitter @zombiehearts

Jolly Green Giant
These things came in the mail to brighten my day today.
I can tell you right now that this week is gonna be a rough one. I gotta de-stress, so please excuse me while I put on my 5 inch Green Velvet Litas and dance around my apartment to my new Zola Jesus records.
I kind of feel like the Jolly Green Giant or a sexy leprechaun in my new shoes...in the best way possible.
