A few years ago, I worked at the Betsey Johnson boutique downtown. A woman came into the store one day and we chatted a bit. I found out that she was a photographer, visiting from out of town. We had a nice conversation and on she went. About an hour later, she came back into the store and asked if she could photograph me. As a black and white photographer, she was curious to photograph my brightly colored tattoos in monochrome.
A few months later (after I had completely forgotten about the impromptu shoot) she sent me the images. They turned out great!
The photographer's name is Suzanne Ivey. I tried Googling her, but nothing really came up. So, thank you Suzanne - wherever you are!
I stumbled upon these the other day when digging around my old laptop and figured I might as well share them with you all. Remember, these are circa 2007...so that's why my hair is black, I look a little different and I a lot of my tattoos seem to be missing.

ReplyDeletep.s. I haven't forgotten about your header. Still working on it. I've been swamped. Sorry!
Thanks, Bess!
ReplyDeleteNo problem about the header, I've been swamped lately too...so I know how it is!
I feel like I creeped these pics pretty hard years ago on Myspace. I love the villainous little bats on your calf - in B&W they are almost...subtle? Love the pics!
