Obligatory Introductory Post

My name is Renee.  I grew up in the god-awful boring deserts of Eastern Washington where thrifting was only for 'poor' people and clothing had nothing to do with fashion.  A self-proclaimed 'DIY-er', my mother taught me to sew at an early age and I spent my childhood repeatedly breaking her sewing machine in attempt to create something wearable and ridiculous. By the time I was 18, the thought of attending a State college made me want to gag. I had toyed with the idea of moving to San Francisco to study drawing and painting, and somehow ended up in Seattle, WA to study fashion design.

This time last year, I was living in New York, doing a design internship for Betsey Johnson.  This time THIS year, I am a retail manager by day, fashion addict all the time.

This blog's sole attempt is to keep me inspired and motivated.  To force me to be creative with my outfitting, to find different sources of inspiration, to remind me why I love fashion as much as I do.  It will be part awkward photos of me and my outfits, inspiration pages, music, movies, and part who knows what else.

  1. I love this! Welcome to the blogging community. I can still remember in 8th grade you wore this DIY'd denim skirt that had hot pink fabric in the middle. I was so jealous you MADE it! You've always been crafty and I've always admired your style. I look forward to following your blog!
